The City of West Sacramento is committed to having development projects reviewed professionally and accurately in a timely manner. To this end the City has established a Project Review Committee (PRC) to assist developers and individuals with the review of projects involving building permits, tentative maps, conditional use permits and other entitlements that require multiple City department review. This group also provides for the issuance of Conditional Certificates of Occupancy where extenuating circumstances require less than a full Certificate of Occupancy.

The PRC is comprised of representatives from the City's Building Division, Development Engineering Division, Planning Division, Fire Department and Police Department and Public Works/Recycling Division. The group meets on Wednesday afternoons at City Hall, 1110 West Capitol Avenue.

Individuals wishing to have projects considered before the PRC need to first contact the City's Planning Division to talk about their proposed project. Should it be agreed that the applicant would benefit by coming to the PRC the applicant will be asked to submit ten (10) copies of any plans along with a cover letter to the PRC. Information must be submitted at least one week before the scheduled PRC meeting. There is no cost for this service and project proponents and their consultants are invited to the meeting to present their projects and receive comments from City staff.
